Etna Ambassador Certificate™ Program

FEATURES OF THE 2024 AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

AT THE END OF THE 20th CENTURY, the vineyards growing on the slopes of the volcano Mount Etna were nearly abandoned.

Today, there are more than one hundred successful estates and hundreds of growers making some of the world’s finest wines from indigenous Sicilian grape varieties. On Europe’s largest active volcano, this kind of rapid change doesn’t come easy.

Join Susan Hulme MW, Etna wine expert Benjamin Spencer DWSET, and Etna Ambassador Willow Scrivner for a once-in-a-lifetime study of the history and rebirth of the wine region that has everyone talking about Sicily.

Etna Wine School’s 2024 Etna Ambassador Certificate™ Program focuses on the wines of Europe’s largest active volcano, and includes engaging lectures with experts, educational winery visits and guided tastings, Sicilian cuisine, transportation, premium accommodations, and a final exam for candidates seeking the Etna Ambassador Certificate™.

Etna Ambassador Willow Scrivner

In her wine courses, she encourages students to keep a journal of the wines they experience and the stories under the cork.

She is also the force behind What Would Willow Drink, a social media guide to pairing food and wine in a fun and approachable way.

Willow has studied with the Northwest Wine Academy, Napa Valley Wine Academy, and has worked as a consultant and buyer for restaurants throughout the United States, including Circa, Petit Cochon, and Peel & Press, in Seattle (WA), Josephine and Caffé Nonna in Nashville (TN).
